Special Olympics Area M provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for individuals from age 6 and up with intellectual disabilities. Area M offers training in 19 different sports at no cost to the athlete or their family. We also provide you with physical benefits, increased self-confidence and more positive self-esteem. Special Olympics Area M also host several social events were you can create meaningful and lasting friendships.
Special Olympics Area M provides training to the athletes at no charge to the athlete or their family or caregivers. This means that we do rely heavily on local support for volunteers in coaching, fund raising, and organizing.
